Walnut

Thought the Walnut boulder under Baslow was a good idea as it was pretty windy today.  Spent a few hours working the traverse (V4/Font 6c), with a couple of others who also headed down from the edge to escape the wind.  Managed to work most of it, and had a few good links, better than a few years ago when I couldn't pull on. A good mini-project for the winter, shame about the approach through some of the roughest ground in the Peak.

Birchen Boudering

Slipped out from work to climb with Reuben for the afternoon.  Followed the start of the BMC guide circuit, some really nice climbing.  Good ticks were The Cabin V4, Scrim-net V3 Technical Genius Arete V4, and a sit start to Orpheus wall V2.

Weekend in "proper" Yorkshire

Spent the weekend North of the border.  Bad weather on Saturday so had a session at the Leeds wall, been a long time since doing any roped climbing, but got 10 routes in. Sunday was a really nice day, so headed to Almscliff, and resumed battle with the Crucifix traverse.  Repeated all the moves, and linked the first section.  As usual the problem is a thuggish section with poor feet and flat holds.  Good weekend.
